Allah say in the Holy Quran:
"O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2). (Al-Baqarah 2:183)"

Well, the holy month of Ramadan is about to come and begin. It's the time when all all of moslems all over the world do fasting and look for the mercy of the Lord of ALLAH. We, in Indonesia, always celebrate the month with all of our traditional ways. Sometimes, my mother cooks some delicious foods for my family which can't be found daily.

Before entering the holy month, people here in Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation, always forgive each other and make such happy greetings each other. We're always happy when the month begins.

We do fasting for a month and after that we'll get the Holy Eid-ul Fitr (Idul Fitri- Back to the Holy/Fitr). The day is very special for children b'coz they often get the presents from their family and relatives. The main purpose of the Holy day is to forgive and respect each other. It's kind of PEACEFULL DAY.

Before getting the Holy Eid-ul Fitr, each moslem who is eligble and able to donate 2.5 percent of their treasure (e.g. money&rice) has to give his/her donation to the closest mosque and/or officials in his area. The donations are then given away to the needy and the poor people to have happiness in celebrating the Holy Day of Eid-ul Fitr. SO, ALL OF MOSLEMS (THE RICH, THE NEEDY, THE POOR)ARE HAPPY AND PEACEFULL TOGETHER IN THAT DAY AND WILL BE LAST FOREVER.
